Tamil, Gujarati and English

One organization calling itself Tamil Protection Movement decided that from now, Tamil movies should have only Tamil names. Their ire is against Kamal Hassan and S J Surya, both of whom are releasing movies with English names. Besides this, the organization also wants Tamil to be made the language of worship in temples and commericial establishments have Tamil names prominently displayed.

    I would like to go one step further and ask that all organizations within Tamil Nadu have only Tamizh names. And those who have English names like Tamil Protection Movement be banned and their founders put in jail.

    Hari, the tamil name of TPM is Tamil Samudaya Padukappu Iyakkam.

    JK, you have to admire the innovativeness of the tamils in coming up wiht schemes like this that make the votebank salivate. Politics is a form of entertainment in tamilnadu and the politicians are the artists. If a proper stat is taken, i have an urge to bet that Tamilnadu has the highest number of Political publications in circulation probably around the world.
